I'm a New Orleans native living in Central IL. Every family member I've taken to Camellia Grill has raved about how simple the food selection and atmosphere is to them, but how fun and festive they feel when they're there. On a typical summer day, there's a line into the place, but it's worth the wait. Camellia Grill is a required stop whenever I'm home!

This place is perfect. It's a greasy spoon, old time diner, right at the riverbend of Carrollton. If you want a classic experience this is your place. Milkshakes, burgers, fries, onion rings, you name it, and all served to you while sitting at a lunch counter that snakes all the way through the tiny restaurant. The servers/cooks are dressed all in white and are wearing those little paper hats that restaurant servers "used to" wear. The food is delicious to boot! The giant cheeseburger dripping with grease and cheese is my favorite and coming in at under $10? Even better. They have a wide variety of soda's but no beer, I believe. Every server and cook was friendly and accommodating and with their fair prices, Camellia Grill really is someplace you ought to check out if you're in the 'hood.
