I went to see a favorite local band of mine here and I'm glad I did. The show was good, a bunch of people I knew were there, and there were $2 High Life drafts. Other than that, Cafe Prytania is pretty nice. I really like the inside. It's got a bar that is a step up from the rest of the space, which is nice when you're sitting at the bar to have that birdseye view. The lighting is low, as it should be, and it's a lively place. There's a sizable space for the bands to play and there are a couple of couches around the bar as well. It's a pretty big place, which I thought was its only drawback. It was hard to feel intimate in there, with the ceilings being so high and there being so much space between me and other people. All in all, I do like Cafe Prytania. I can't say I'd go back to hang out unless a band I like is playing there but either way, it's still a nice place with a pretty good vibe.
