Kristen Wiig chips tooth, still in good life
Posted July 10, 2012
It's good to be Kristen Wiig. Even with a chipped tooth.
According to Marie Claire, Wiig is the new big thing in Hollywood, coming off the raucous success of Bridesmaids to take her place as a screen superstar and bankable industry player. Plus, her personal life is going great: she's mad for her new love, Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti.
Now all she has to do is get her tooth fixed.
It happened at the after-party a few weeks ago following Wiig's final show as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, a seven-season run that made her a comedy star. But the after-party was wild, featuring Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl playing covers under the band name Chevy Metal. When Wiig woke up the next morning, she felt something "hard and small" in her mouth, only to realize she'd accidentally chipped her front tooth.
Oops.
Wiig, 38, confesses to the mag that she's actually quite shy (don't all comics say that?). But she's open about how she's feeling these days, thanks to Moretti.
"I will say that I'm happier than I've ever been," she says, "and I feel very lucky right now." Why? "Where I am now. Who he is. Those are the two big ones."
The magazine hits newsstands July 17.
