Taylor Swift was spotted boating with members of the Kennedy clan on July 4 at Hyannis Port in Cape Cod.

Aceshowbiz has a photo of the singer sailing, and says she spent a couple of days vacationing with the famous family.

TMZ says Swift and Patrick Schwarzenegger -- son of Maria Shriver (her mom is Eunice Kennedy Shriver, of course) and Arnold Schwarzenegger -- were seen taking a private stroll on the beach, but it's unclear if romance was in the air.

Whatever happened, Schwarzenegger enjoyed it. He tweeted: "Had such an amazing day. Best 4th of July I could ask for. Hope everyone had a great day!"

Swift hasn't tweeted about the visit, but has mentioned her surprise visit Monday to Tanglewood where she joined James Taylor on stage for a few songs. No doubt the Taylor-Taylor combo was a good one.

She has, however, explained her friendship with the Kennedys. Rory Kennedy has taken daughters Georgia and Bridget to a number of Taylor Swift concerts. "I kept going like a groupie," Rory told USA TODAY's Bryan Alexander at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

During one concert she met Taylor backstage and invited her to the Cape last year to hang out with the Kennedy clan. After that Taylor later mentioned her admiration for 84-year-old Ethel Kennedy. "She said I have read all these books and I would love to meet your mother," recalls Rory.

"It's a street that goes both ways," says Ethel Kennedy. "Isn't she the best? She's so remarkable. You come away each time feeling elated."
