A judge in Nashville agreed to dismiss the emergency conservatorship request by actress Reese Witherspoon in her father's interest Monday and ordered that the court file remain sealed from the public, reports The Tennessean.
In May, Witherspoon's mother accused her father of bigamy and possibly having dementia. Betty Witherspoon said she found out from a newspaper announcement that her husband of 42 years had married another woman even though she was still married to him.
Betty signed an affidavit saying that when she confronted John Witherspoon, 70, he denied knowing the woman or having the wedding.
